Tabitha Allen is a biker club princess and when she was younger, a train wreck. She made unwise choices and she and the people she loved paid the price. As an adult, she tried to live what she thought was the dream only to have her world implode. She has always had a crush on Parker “Shy” Cage who is a member of the MC(motorcycle club) her dad is the president of.

Shy Cage has always noticed Tabby but never acted on it because of her age and the MC. He’s quite the ladies man and is very outspoken with his opinions. He makes a judgement call with Tabby when she’s younger and for a long time it defines their relationship.

I’m a big fan of Kristen Ashley. I have to say Knight is still my favorite but I really liked this book and Motorcycle Man. It would help if you have read Motorcycle Man first but you don’t have to. If you have, you’ll see that Tabby fell for a guy a lot like her dad, Tack. This story was very emotional and hard to read at times because of the pain these characters were in. The losses they had were staggering and changed who they were as people at a young age. I highly recommend this book for readers of Kristen Ashley’s books or anyone who wants a great story by a great author.

Craig McTiernay is a highlander who is comfortable with his lot in life for the most part. He has a large and wonderful family. He has wealth. He’s good looking and he has his best friend, Meriel.
Meriel is a laird’s daughter and his sister-in-law. They have developed a true friendship since their twins married each other.

This story is about each of them falling in love with one another despite their vehement stance on not marrying. Both are headstrong and stubborn but very passionate about everything. When they finally give into their feelings, it is truly a realistic look at marriage. It’s ups and downs. It’s adjustment periods and the realization that we each have our faults.

My huge problem with this is that I had to wait for two years to get this book. The author, who, in her defense, writes great love scenes, started another series before she finished this one. I HATE that! I read a lot and in great number, so if I have to wait a long time for a book it’s hard for me to remember characters and such. Unfortunately, I never warmed to the book because of not remembering details and it pretty much ruined the series for me. Then I look up to see what the author is writing next and it is a book to the other series and that cemented it for me. Very sad because I love Scottish historical romance and she did it well.

I had put off reading this book because my TBR list was so out of control. I try to read current books to review but honestly, I love this series so here goes.

Amy owns the book store in Destiny and she is kind of renown for her matchmaking abilities in town. She’s done a pretty good job of it too. For everyone but her, She is also a cat lover (she won me over for this reason alone) also and adopts out strays from her store. She has a good circle of friends but Logan is her best friend. They grew up two houses from each other and formed a bond early. She sees herself as unlovable due to being plain but I pictured her as the girl next door type.

Logan Whitaker is a fire fighter in Destiny. He recently was at a fire that left him with some emotional scarring. He took a leave of absence from the local fire department to deal with the tragedy. He withdrew from family and friends, even Amy. He has some life altering decisions he comes to on this leave.

I adore this series and stumbled on to it by accident and I’ve never been so happy I did. It is a gem, truly. Sweet, precious and endearing. I really enjoyed the story here with the exception of Logan. I found him to be not only selfish and stupid but in my opinion almost a cheater. A douche bag who practices douchebaggery. No redemption for him with me. Do I buy the 34 year old virgin? Not really but I played along. Other than those things, this was another good edition to a great series.
